Monique Parsons doesn’t just plan events. She builds ecosystems.

For more than 20 years, Monique has been designing experiences that do more than entertain. She creates strategic, large-scale events that strengthen nonprofits, activate downtowns, and drive meaningful economic impact for local businesses. Her work sits at the intersection of creativity, logistics, and civic collaboration, bringing together municipalities, sponsors, vendors, and community partners around a shared vision.

Monique is the Founder and Creative Director of Stay Salted Inc., a Long Island–based strategic event production company established in 2003. Through Stay Salted, she produces and manages dozens of large-scale nonprofit, municipal, and community-driven events each year, currently overseeing 40+ major events annually on Long Island alone. Her projects are known for their seamless execution, strong branding, and ability to attract sustained foot traffic while meeting complex regulatory, safety, and operational requirements.

In addition, Monique is a Managing Partner of MDP Events LLC, the event management company responsible for overseeing the operations, programming, and member-facing initiatives of the Rocky Point – Sound Beach Chamber of Commerce. In this role, she applies her deep experience in public-private partnerships, sponsorship development, marketing strategy, and stakeholder engagement to ensure chamber programming is impactful, well-managed, and aligned with the needs of the local business community.

Monique’s work is grounded in collaboration and trust. She is highly experienced in navigating state, county, and local permitting, coordinating with health departments, fire marshals, municipal leaders, and enforcement agencies, and managing vendors, sponsors, and insurers with professionalism and clarity. Beyond event production, she is an active civic leader, currently serving on several committees and boards.

At her core, Monique is driven by one belief: strong communities don’t happen by accident. They are built intentionally, through thoughtful programming, creative placemaking, and partnerships that put people and local businesses first.
