Events Committee
The Events Committee plays a vital role in bringing the Rocky Point–Sound Beach Chamber of Commerce to life through engaging, high-quality events that support local businesses and strengthen community connections. This committee plans, develops, and executes the Chamber’s annual event calendar, working collaboratively to create experiences that drive foot traffic, promote member businesses, and foster meaningful engagement.
Signature events include The Annual Gala, The Downtown Sound Beach Spring Festival & Street Fair, The Annual Holiday Tree Lighting, and The Fall Festival, with additional programs, mixers, and special events added throughout the year. Committee members help shape event concepts, coordinate logistics, support vendor and sponsor participation, and ensure each event reflects the Chamber’s mission of economic growth and community pride.

Networking Committee
The Networking Committee strengthens connections within the Rocky Point–Sound Beach business community by hosting monthly networking events at rotating local restaurants, businesses, and venues. These gatherings are designed to create meaningful, relationship-driven connections in a relaxed and engaging setting that supports collaboration, visibility, and business growth.
As a member benefit, Chamber members may choose to sponsor a networking event for a minimal fee. Each networking event allows two non-cross category exclusive sponsors, providing prominent visibility and direct engagement with attendees. Attendance at networking meetings is free for Chamber members. Non-members are welcome to attend one complimentary networking meeting, after which they may either join the Chamber or continue attending as a non-member for $35 per networking meeting.
Committee members help shape the networking calendar, coordinate hosts and sponsors, support event logistics, and ensure each meeting delivers value to attendees. Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is dedicated to growing, supporting, and engaging the Rocky Point–Sound Beach Chamber of Commerce membership. This committee serves as the front line of the Chamber, helping attract new members, welcome businesses into the organization, and ensure current members are informed, connected, and receiving value from their membership.
Committee members focus on member outreach, onboarding, retention, and engagement, working closely with Chamber leadership to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities that support business growth. The Membership Committee also plays an important role in communicating member benefits, encouraging participation in Chamber programs and events, and fostering a strong sense of community among businesses of all sizes and industries.

Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee is responsible for promoting the Rocky Point–Sound Beach Chamber of Commerce, its members, and its programs through strategic marketing and communications. This committee supports the Chamber’s visibility and brand presence by managing social media content, assisting with website updates, creating graphics and promotional materials, and helping craft consistent, engaging messaging across platforms.
Committee members also contribute to writing and distributing press releases, promoting events and initiatives, highlighting member businesses, and supporting marketing campaigns that drive awareness, attendance, and engagement. From digital content and graphic design to community outreach and media relations, the Marketing Committee plays a key role in telling the Chamber’s story and amplifying its impact.
